As part of International Fraud Awareness Week, the second conferences on the dangers of fraud and corruption was held. The International Fraud Awareness Week was launched by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners in 2000. Since then, numerous organisations around the world have joined in the initiative to raise awareness of the need to combat these threats.
The conference included a panel on the topic of “New security – doing business in a world of cyberkinetic fraud” which discussed cyberkinetic security and attacks during the time of the pandemic, when online communication tools took on a special significance.
CEO of KING ICT, Plamenko Barišić, participated in conference. He spoke of the company’s cooperation with NATO and interesting King projects in the field of information security. He touched about the greatest weaknesses in the field of information security and warned of the most common “sore spots” in systems.
The panel also discussed the topic of Compliance operations, and the influence of the legislative framework on the growing demand for services in the field of information security. An essential topic of discussion were the challenges and changes resulting from the pandemic, and how to deal with them.
The panel was both interesting and dynamic, and just one part of this worthwhile conference that we hope will be held again next year.
