Traditionally, KING ICT has marked Girls in ICT Day – a global initiative to supports girls and young women in education and encourage them to pursue a career in the world of ICT. A world in which, unfortunately, women are still a minority.
Female experts within KING ICT shared their knowledge with high school girls and encouraged them to recognize all the possibilities that the world of ICT offers. A panel was organized, and workshops were held. This year’s theme was leadership – how to be a leader in an industry where men still outnumber women, what the IT world entails, and some of the challenges they’ve encountered – those and many more topics were discussed and shared by our colleagues with the female students that attended the event.
The feedback gathered from the students was excellent, and it makes us extremely proud to support this initiative year after year.
