Another edition of the KING ICT Academy has successfully come to a close! This year, the Academy was held in a fresh new format. Students had the opportunity to listen to lectures through the series Weekend Workshops, and those interested were invited to apply to take part in the summer Academy. After a short introductory section of lectures, they began a paid internship in the areas of business analysis, programming and quality assurance.
Students were divided into four teams and were asked to resolve the same problem, in a teamwork environment and with the support of their mentor, they learned to develop an application from scratch, and then presented their practical work at the great show off. It was particularly interesting to see the different ways they approached the problem, and the creative means to solve it.
The KING ICT Academy has for years been an excellent opportunity for students wanting to learn more alongside experts from the IT world. To date, more than 500 students have developed more than 30 applications and tried their hand at real projects in one of the world’s fastest growing industries.
